How It All Began
It was 2020 when Dennis Czekalla spent his first night in a tiny house — and everything changed. Not long after, he spotted one rolling down the highway. A house. On wheels. With no background in construction but a relentless entrepreneurial spirit, Dennis decided that if no one was building the kind of home he dreamed of, he would do it himself.
What began as one man's project quickly became a shared mission. Dennis assembled a team of skilled carpenters, engineers, and designers — people who believed that a home should be sustainable without sacrificing comfort. Together, they pushed beyond tiny houses into full-scale modular homes, proving that factory-built doesn't mean cookie-cutter.
Today, Berghaus delivers homes across Europe. But the spirit of that first build hasn't faded. Dennis still walks through the workshop each morning, running his hands along the thermowood, checking every joint.
